I was born and raised in the port town, so grew up with a love of the sea, hanging around the jetty and hearing the fishers talk. My wife Kae has been an important partner in my business.
But I have just recently retired, and our son Brodie has taken over fishing operations. We fish out of two ports – Port McDonnell and Robe.
Quality is the most important thing to our family operation – we have made fishing innovations on our vessel to reduce handling and stress of the animals we catch.
Kae and I loved having the chance to go up to Shanghai in October 2019, meeting one of our chefs and seeing what he does with our Southern Rock Lobsters. It was wonderful to see how he appreciates the quality of our produce as much as we do!
