I am a 4th generation fisher, and have been on boats since I was 7 years old. I worked hard at a lot of different odd jobs when I was younger to save enough to buy my own vessel, as I was determined to accomplish my dream – to follow in the footsteps of my ancestors.
In fact, my partner Leah Powell and I live on my boat (check out my video for a virtual tour of our home!).
Leah and I fish as a team, usually close to the 12 Apostles on Victoria’s iconic Great Ocean Road, one of the world’s most beautiful coastlines. We are so lucky to live and work in these amazing surroundings every day – I wouldn’t give it up for anything!
While I currently fish for other’s quota, I hope to now save up enough money to have my own quota and a house to pass onto future generations.
